FORT MYERS, FL – Dr. Jesse Bryson, Fort Myers High School JROTC Instructor and President of the I Will Mentorship Foundation (IWMF), recently received the Vocational Service Award from the Rotary Club of Fort Myers South for exemplifying integrity and high ethical standards in the community. As a native of Fort Myers, his passion for helping youth and his community are reflected in all aspects of his life.

“Dr. Bryson is someone who will always put others before himself,” said Gary Bryant, Chairman of IWMF. “I have never had the privilege of working with a more passionate or enthusiastic individual who cares so much about the community.”

Dr. Bryson has over 20 years experience mentoring youth through his community involvement, military, and educator background. Dr. Bryson founded the IWMF which cultivates youth into leaders of tomorrow with greater awareness of community. The IWMF’s mission is to empower youth to make positive life choices through mentoring programs focused on increasing academic achievement, strengthening community, and providing exposure to opportunities to improve socioeconomic mobility through Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture and Mathematics (STEAM) curriculum. His military experience includes assignments at the White House under Presidents Bush and Clinton. Secondary to his military responsibility was a desire for education, as he was instrumental in establishing the first English library in Izmir, Turkey.

The I Will Mentorship Foundation (IWMF), established in 2015, empowers youths to make positive life choices through mentoring programs focused on increasing academic achievement, decreasing criminal activity and strengthening the family structure. IWMF is the first after school STEAM resource center for Lee County with a program for every youth who wants the opportunity to achieve their dreams.
